Summary
Our client offers comprehensive software solutions including digital voice capture, speech recognition, electronic signature, medical coding systems and services, and mobile dictation devices. Their customer base includes more than 1,500 healthcare organizations. In this role you will be responsible for the development of software architectural plans for product releases as well as ensuring the development of the product matches the architectural design and development guidelines. You must have the ability to logically and succinctly communicate concepts and solutions, as well as provide solutions for difficult or critical defects or production issues. They have a highly esteemed architecture group that consists of a team of 5. They work with cutting edge Spring SOA framework, enterprise service business and heavy web services. You will have a lot of autonomy in this role as liaison between business and technology. Responsibilities

• Work with Program Management, Product Management and customers to translate business strategies and requirements into software-intensive solutions that meet the primary business needs Interpret and develop highly complex technical specifications, diagrams and database schemas
• Apply skills and knowledge in OS, platform and emerging technologies; latent, current and emerging programming languages and protocols; server technologies
• Apply exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational skills
• Utilize flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Ensure architectural designs must meet a number of criteria objectives, including but not limited to: feasibility, security, stability, performance, scalability, and cost
• Develop practical solutions to complex technical problems and accurately and unambiguously documents the solution through technical specifications and diagrams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years enterprise software industry experience
• Exceptional knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle methodology
• Proven ability to read and understand business cases, use cases & UML
• Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills enabling comprehension and development of complex technical and business issues, topics, and plans
• Demonstrated ability to design solution that are scalable, robust and have acceptable performance
• Extensive experience designing and developing n-tier and service based solutions
• 4+ year Java/JEE
• 5+ years SQL, Oracle RDMS
• 3+ years Unix/Linux (preferred, not required)
• 3+ years Enterprise Hardware (Servers, Disk, Routers, etc) (preferred, not required)
• iPhone/iPad experience (preferred, not required)
• C++ (preferred, not required)
• C# (preferred, not required)
