Baldor A Member of the ABB Group Manufacturing/Metallurgist Engineer Baldor Electric a Member of the ABB Group, a leading manufacturer of industrial electric motors, power transmission products, drives and generators is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Rogersville, TN facility. This position will provide process engineering support for a variety of heat treating operations. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of metallurgical controls, operational cost reduction, and continuous process improvements associated with heat treating operations. Previous experience with both carburizing and through hardening would be beneficial. The successful applicant will work closely with the maintenance and the metallurgical lab technicians to improve both the quality and the efficiency of heat treating operations within the Rogersville facility. In addition to daily process engineering support, this position will be responsible for capital project management related to heat treating operations. A self managed and motivated individual that readily accepts engineering ownership for this role is desired. A BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field in conjunction with a minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience is required. Strong root cause analysis and technical problem solving skills are necessary. Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing, CAD based tooling design, and 6 sigma methodologies preferred.
